Very early on in the research and creation process we decided that our concept would be based around a doll's house and other references such as a puppet and 1950's housewife/trophy wife which we derived from the lyrics. Our overall aim is to create a conceptual narrative. We learnt from an industry professional how it is advisable to go through the song line by line as well as taking into account changes and continuity in instrumentation.

We immediately noticed that our lyrics were not about a typical romantic type of love that is heard in some pop songs but ours had ideas of women not conforming to men's expectations and female empowerment which we would want to amplify (Goodwin) in our video. Our tracks instrumentation provides a constantly strong pulse which will allow for easy cutting to the beat (Vernallis) but also has a interesting base line which will allow for more varied cuts.

Analysing our song's lyrics and instrumentation has been very useful has it has allowed us to develop our narrative ideas for the video and possible editing techniques.
